Obituary

Therneda Margaret Jones was born in Cosewell, West Virginia on March 26, 1929. She was the 9 th of 10 Children. She was predeceased by her loving Parents, John S. and Nora Payne Jones, Husband William M. Blair, Sr., 6 Brothers Edgar, Nathaniel, John Henry, Saul, Melvin, and Solomon, 3 Sisters, Lovora, Zeola, and Helen, Mother-in-Law (Ossie Lipford), Father-in-law (Bruce Blair), Stepfather-in-law (Beverly Lipford), and numerous Brothers and Sister-in-laws.

She received her education in the public school system of West Virginia. After receiving her High School Diploma, she attended business school in Buffalo, New York where she received her diploma. Mother Blair attended EON Teaching Institute where she received her Biblical Teaching Certificate.

She met and married the late Corporal, Deacon William M. Blair, Sr. Through this matrimony, God blessed them with five loving and amazing children: Terrida Norelle Blair, Marguerite Elaine Tracy (Donald), William Matthew Blair Jr., (Sharon), Byron Anthony Blair (Paula) and Keith Ronell Blair (Regina). In the year of 1960, they moved their family (then 4 children) from Bluefield, West Virginia to Philadelphia, PA.

Mother Blair was baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age under the leadership of her father, Bishop John S. Jones at the Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church of the Apostolic Faith. After relocating to Philadelphia, she continued her Christian journey with the Original Glorious Church where she was one of the original members that started the Original Glorious Church in the city of Philadelphia. Mother has been a faithful servant in the Original Glorious Church for more than 60 years until God called her home from her work in the Kingdom. Mother has served under the leadership of the late Elder Henry Burdette, the late Evangelist Madie Burdette, the late Overseer Lorenzo Tatum, Evangelist Jessie Hairston, the late Diocesan Bishop Robert Adams, and Evangelist Martha Adams.

Mother Blair was employed at the infamous Nannette Manufacturing Company for thirty-three years. She held several positions while employed there, her favorite was prepping the clothes for showroom inspection. After her retirement, she was offered opportunities to prepare meals for several organizations as well as at her local church, and for Diocesan Conventions. Word on the street was "Your mama sure can cook". She opened her home to neighborhood children; her mantra was always to have enough to share with others. She believed in that southern hospitality. Mother Blair has also been involved in the city of Philadelphia's voting rights. She was elected as an "Election Judge". She enjoyed using her teaching certificate to share the Word of God. She was invited by many organizations to teach. Some of her other talents include being President of the YPWW department and church secretary under the leadership Overseer Lorenzo Tatum.

Therneda leaves to mourn her children Terrida, Marguerite, William Jr., Byron, Keith, Grandchildren, Rasheda, William III (Skayo), Janelle, Germaine (Keisha), Sabrina, Ryan, Marcus, Keith Jr. (Sharrice), David, Byron, Jessica, Joselyn, and Jasmine, 25 Great-Grandchildren. 1 Son-in-Law Donald, 3 Daughters-in-Law Paula, Regina, and Sharon, Adopted Daughter Emma English-Pagan, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family. When God Called You Back Home

Mom: A Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend

When God called you back home, he knew just what he was doing.

He knew that you had earned your pretty wings.

He knew that the time was right for you to now fly so freely.

He knew that earth was no longer deserving of your unique stride.

So he rewarded you with the freedom to soar through the sky

with all of heaven's angels, now an angel all your own.

When God called you back home, he knew he'd tear our hearts.

He knew our tears would fall.

He knew our minds would struggle with doubt.

He knew our souls would feel scorn.

Yet, in his eyes taking such a precious gift was his great turn around

for the life that you served down here with us.

When God took you back home, all he left us were the

greatest memories - the strut in your walk,

the sound of your voice, the glow of your smile,

the warmth of your touch, the embrace of your hugs,

the assurance from your eyes, and True Love.

So in our dreams we hope to meet you over and over,

until we all meet again eternally.

~We Love You XOXO~

Goodbye

Goodbye proud world, I'm going home
Through weary crowds, I'll no longer roam.
I'm going to my own hearth-stone
Where the evening star so holy shines.

Now I am safe at home,
In a glorious world where God I'll meet
Free to walk with pride.
Good bye proud world, I'm going home
