Tanya R. Armstead, born on January 27, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 16, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. Tanya was predeceased by her parents, Ernest Lyons and Christine Pitts, and her beloved husband, Kevin Armstead, who passed away in 2022.

She is survived by her sons, James, Khalil, Raheem, and Jamal, and her daughter, Shantya. Tanya also leaves behind her brother, Lawrence Pitts, and her sisters, Lauren Pitts and Ernestine Pitts. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one great-grandchild.

A service to honor Tanya's life will be held at Alfonso Cannon Funeral Chapels, Inc.
