Sarah R. Hughes, born on January 16, 1935, passed away on January 13, 2025. She was a dedicated employee of the Board of Education in the City of Philadelphia, where she worked as an NTA. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Edward Ford and Catherine Bullock. She is survived by her son, Elliott Stokes, her daughter, Vanessa Hughes, and her sister, Geneva. Sarah was also a beloved grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her fondly for her contributions to education and her loving nature.
