Obituary

Robert Harris, Sr., affectionately known as "Treetop", received his wings on Friday, April 16, 2021, after a life devoted to his family and friends.
Robert was born on July 13, 1948, to William and Sarah Harris.  He was the fourth child of five children.
Robert was educated in the public school system of Philadelphia.  He graduated in 1966.
After graduating from high school, Robert enlisted into the United States Marine Corp, where he received an Honorable Discharge.  He was a Vietnam Veteran.
For nearly all his life, Robert demonstrated his craft skill in working with his hands.  He was also an excellent automobile mechanic and artist.  He really enjoyed carpentry. He made several items for his mother, Sarah Harris.
"Treetop" was witty, and he could bring a smile to your face with his charming sarcasm.  He commanded any room he entered.
He was united in marriage to Paulette Malachi on August 23, 1969.  From this union, Robert Paul Harris was born on August 21, 1971.  His only son.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, William Robert Harris Sr.; his mother, Sarah Harris; his brother, William Harris Jr.; and his sister, Cora Pearl Turpin-Samuels.
Robert leaves the following to cherish his memories: Paulette Malachi; his son, Robert Paul Harris Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Francia Nicole Harris; a stepson, Taji Cunningham; his oldest sister, Elnora McMullen; a brother, Lloyd Paul Harris; his grandchildren: Alexus Mary Anne Harris Leydig, Serenity Harris, Melonie Mendoz, Latiazha Taylor, Keianna Taylor, and Corian Reid; one great-grandchild, Mason Castiel Leydig; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
