Dorothy Marie Smith

Born on July 6, 1967, Dorothy Marie Smith was born to the late Hugh Willis Smith Sr. and Olivia Worsley Smith in Philadelphia PA.Dorothy was born, raised, and lived all her life in North Philadelphia but her heart’s desire was to eventually retire in Virginia Beach VA, the birthplace of her family’s roots. She loved water and would sometimes get a hotel room just to get in the pool. She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivia Worsley Smith and her sister, Clarissa Ann Smith in 2025. She is, and will be, sorely missed.Dorothy was employed by Comhar Inc. for over 25 years. She was faithful to her place of employment until this year. Dorothy Marie Smith passed away on October 10, 2026. She leaves to cherish many memories: Siblings- Hugh Willis Smith Jr. (Rosa Mae) (Virginia Beach), Audrey A. Valentin (Texas), Dwight K. Smith (Philadelphia), Alvin Theophilus Smith (Virginia Beach), and Rita Flowers (Bronx, New York) a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, with special mention of her sister cousins Laura Johnson, Frazer Gregory, bonus sister Crystal Brooks (Virginia Beach) and their families and Zetti M. Hale (Philadelphia), her sister mom and all of her friends in Philadelphia and beyond.
