Charles Brown, affectionately known as Poppie, was born on September 30, 1941, in Lumpkin, Georgia. He passed away on December 27, 2024, in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. Charles was a dedicated construction worker who was known for his hard work and commitment to his craft.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Brown and Bertha Mae Brown (Hardwick), his beloved wife Barbara J. Brown (Winstead), his son Jonathan Thomas, his daughters Deborah Hepworth and Theordora Johnson, and his brothers John Brown and Bob Brown.

Charles is survived by his son Ernest Thomas, his daughters Charlyn J. Battle and Shimaine N. Brown, his brother Arthur Brown, and his sister Jessie Sesay. He leaves behind a legacy through his 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
